We hope everyone is safe after the heavy rain moved through the area.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Central Office located at 301 North Clark will be closed to the public tomorrow (June 9) as we clean up our office. Our staff will be here working, but we won't be able to have people coming and going while we work to get things back in order.
All of our summer school locations will be open and ready for students. Have a great evening, and thank you for your time!

We wanted to share some of the exciting things that happened in our CGPS cafeterias during the 2025–2026 school year! This year, thanks to the Local Food for Schools grant, we were able to support 11 local Missouri farmers and bring their fresh products straight to our students.
Here are the farms we partnered with and the items they provided:
Apple Ridge Orchard — strawberries
Beggs Berry World — strawberries
Essner’s Custom Butchering — beef
Fritsche Hill Farms — pure maple syrup
Gihring Farms — pure maple syrup
Green’s Garden — strawberries, peppers
Inland Rice — brown rice
Menard Farms — asparagus, sweet potatoes, green onions, strawberries, spring mix
River Bend Honey — pure honey
South Side Farms — spinach, spring mix, radishes, Japanese salad turnips, collard greens, carrots
Twisted Carrot Farm — watermelon
This partnership has been an incredible way to support local farmers and bring our students fresh, nutrient‑dense foods they truly get excited about. We love seeing their faces light up when they try something grown right here in Missouri.

Important CGPS Update - School is closed on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The side roads are still too icy and dangerous for the buses. Thursday will be a traditional snow day for students and staff. Even though our school district remains closed on Thursday, we want to take a moment to say thank you to our maintenance team. They have been working hard in the cold to clear the snow from our school sidewalks and parking lots. Please thank them when you see them after school opens again!
